Central Bank of Sudan announces the start of the first phase of currency replacement

November 29, 2024 (PEN) The Central Bank of Sudan announced on Friday the start of the first phase of the currency replacement process, which includes opening bank accounts for citizens who do not deal with banks.

The bank explained that this time the currency exchange will be different from previous experiences, as it requires the citizen to have a bank account. If he does not have an account, the citizen is required to go to any of the banks operating in Sudan to open an account and deposit his cash in it.

The bank pointed out that opening a bank account allows citizens to benefit from various banking services, such as withdrawal and deposit, in addition to the advantages provided by electronic banking applications, including paying bills and fees and making the necessary payments for various services.
