Doctors Without Borders warns: A significant deterioration in the food situation in Zamzam camp for displaced people

May 6, 2024 (PEN) In light of the escalation of violence in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur State, Doctors Without Borders has revealed a severe crisis in Zamzam camp, where the camp’s residents are suffering from a significant deterioration in the nutritional situation.

The organization stated in its tweet on (x) that after examining more than 63,000 people, including children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, the results revealed a horrific situation, as it was found that a third of children under the age of five were suffering from malnutrition in this crowded camp.
