September 28, 2023 (PEN) The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that 72.4 thousand people have been affected by floods and heavy rains in Sudan since last July.

This was stated in the Flood Matrix of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that 5.8 thousand homes were destroyed and another 6.6 thousand homes were damaged in 7 states.

Adding that the northern state, the Nile River and North Darfur are among the most affected states.
