IGAD discusses regional security and the Sudanese crisis with the Ethiopian Foreign Minister

June 24, 2024 (PEN) The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr. Warqneh Gebeyehu said that he welcomed today in his office at the IGAD headquarters in Djibouti, His Excellency Ambassador Taiye Atseki Selassie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Dr. said. Gebeho said the discussions focused on vital issues of common interest, including regional security, institutional support, and the pressing Sudanese crisis. He added that the Ethiopian minister affirmed his country's commitment to supporting IGAD in achieving its mission in the Horn of Africa region.
