The World Food Organization warns of the disaster: 19 million Sudanese children are losing their right to education

January 24, 2024 (PEN) The World Food Program said that 19 million children are out of school in Sudan, as it explained that before the war it provided hot meals to millions of children.

The program stated that many schools are now used as shelters for those fleeing the violent conflict in Khartoum and a number of states.

The Food Program called for an end to the fighting for children to return to their classrooms.

It is noteworthy that the ongoing conflict in Sudan since April 15 of last year has led to catastrophic humanitarian deterioration, especially for children and women.
