The National Nation strongly condemns the violations of the Rapid Support Forces against civilians in Gezira State

March 2, 2024 (PEN) The National Umma Party strongly condemned the RSF’s continued violations against innocent civilians in the villages of Gezira State, Sudan.

The party explained that the village of Al-Wali in Al-Hasahisa locality witnessed during the past days horrific raids that resulted in martyrs and wounded, without it being possible to know their exact number, noting that these ongoing violations affected more than fifty villages in Al-Jazira state.

The party said , "The Rapid Support Forces bear full responsibility for these violations against defenseless citizens, and their continuation will inevitably lead to an increase in the intensity of the conflict and a slide toward civil war."

The party stressed the need for the Rapid Support Forces to immediately and urgently leave the villages and stop the ongoing violations, calling on the international and regional community, civil society and national civil society to put pressure on the warring parties to reach a peaceful solution that puts an end to this devastating war.
