The Secretary-General of the Arab League calls for silencing the guns in Sudan

May 16, 2024 (PEN) The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said that the wound in Sudan is deep and dangerous because it threatens the survival of the state and the unity of its national institutions and threatens the lives of millions of people.

During his speech before the 33rd Arab Summit in the Bahraini capital, Manama, he called on everyone to silence the guns immediately in order to preserve the sanctity of Sudanese blood, the unity of the nation threatened by division, and for the sake of Sudan’s neighbors.
