The Federal Assembly demands disclosure of the fate of First Lieutenant Maash Muhammad Siddiq

May 21, 2024 (PEN) The Federal Rally Party confirmed that it viewed with great concern the videos that spread on social media, in which First Lieutenant Maash Muhammad Siddiq appears as a prisoner of the Rapid Support Forces in the Al-Jili area, where he is subjected to beatings while in captivity. News also circulated the day before yesterday about his liquidation.

The party stressed that the laws of war in accordance with Sudanese law, international law, and the covenants of the Geneva Convention are based on the principle of humane treatment that preserves human blood, honor, and dignity. He explained that violating these laws is a war crime added to the record of crimes and violations witnessed in the April War.

In a statement, the Federal Assembly strongly condemned the killing of prisoners of war, and called on the Rapid Support Forces to disclose the fate of First Lieutenant Muhammad Siddiq and what happened to him while he was under their legal responsibility, holding them responsible for any violations committed against him while he was their prisoner.
