The Arab League confirms its position on the Sudanese crisis

May 27, 2024 (PEN) The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said that the League always supports the rights of Arab and African countries to preserve their sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He added during a speech delivered by Ambassador Khalid bin Muhammad Manzalawi, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs of the League of Arab States, on behalf of Aboul Gheit , “We here always and forever affirm the unity and integrity of the Sudanese national territory and express our full solidarity with the Republic of Sudan and the necessity of preserving the institutions of the Sudanese state.” At the forefront of which are the armed forces .

Aboul Gheit stressed the importance of providing a helping hand to refugees and displaced persons and protecting humanitarian relief routes and civilians, stressing the university’s role in supporting humanitarian and human rights efforts in Sudan and other African countries.
