The Civil Front to Stop the War discusses the humanitarian and political situation

September 18, 2023 (PEN) The Civil Front for the Cessation of War and the Restoration of Democracy said that a meeting was held on Sunday in the Ethiopian capital of the Coordination and Communication Body of the Civil Front to Stop the War and Restore Democracy in Sudan.

She stated that the meeting comes under very difficult humanitarian conditions suffered by the Sudanese people as a result of the conflict that has been going on since April 15.

The meeting will also focus on reactivating the work of the Front, and supporting and strengthening the ongoing efforts by civil actors to build the largest and broadest civil front to stop the war and restore the democratic path.

The conflict in Sudan since April 15 between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces has killed more than 5,000 people and displaced millions, according to United Nations reports.
