Sultan Ahmed Dinar and Abdul Wahid Nour discuss the situation in the country

January 20, 2024 (PEN) The Sultan of Darfur, Sultan Ahmed Dinar, met with the head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Abdul Wahid Muhammad Nour, in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

Ahmed Dinar emphasized the struggle and historical role of Abdel Wahed Muhammad Nour, calling for the necessity of joining efforts to build and stabilize Sudan and the Darfur region in particular.

The two parties also discussed the security and political situation that the country is going through and the mechanism to push the warring parties to enter into serious negotiations that will lead to lasting peace in the country.

Sudan is witnessing a state of humanitarian deterioration following the escalation of the violent clashes that have been taking place since mid-April last year between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
