World Health calls for respecting the neutrality of the health sector in Sudan

May 28, 2024 (PEN) The World Health Organization responded to the objection of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry regarding what was circulated about a member of the Rapid Support Forces wearing the organization’s uniform, stressing the neutrality of the health sector.

The organization said: “The health sector is neutral, and any unauthorized use of WHO assets in Sudan undermines this neutrality.” She stressed the need for all parties to the conflict to respect the neutrality of health and not exploit it to serve any party.

The organization added: “The World Health Organization will continue to make every effort to ensure health for all in Sudan.”
