World Health Organization sends medical aid to Sudan across the Chadian border

February 17, 2024 (PEN) The World Health Organization announced that it had sent 58 tons of essential medical supplies from its warehouses in the Chadian city of Farchana, to 8 of its partners in Western Darfur, during its operations between Chad and Sudan.

The organization confirmed that the supplies will help meet the health needs of 338,000 patients for a period of 3 months, as it indicated that the aid contains basic medical and emergency health supplies, medicines for chronic diseases, and others to support life-saving operations in West Darfur.

She explained that she will continue to provide health supplies and essential medicines across the border from Chad with the aim of reaching all states of Darfur in order to maintain and expand life-saving interventions.
