World Health Organization warns of the serious lack of peace and humanitarian access in Sudan

July 13, 2024 (PEN) The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, said that Sudan has suffered 15 months of conflict, noting that there are nearly 15 million people in need of urgent health assistance.

Adhanom added in his tweet on (X) that the risk of famine is increasing, as more than half of Sudan’s population faces crisis levels of food insecurity, or worse.

He stressed that there is a severe lack of peace, access and funding, noting that it is innocent people who are suffering once again.
