October 6, 2024 (PEN) The United Nations Migration Organization announced that between June 1 and October 4, 2024, 126 heavy rain and flooding incidents occurred in Sudan, resulting in the sudden displacement of approximately 186,765 individuals, representing 37,353 families, from 15 different states in the country.

The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) reported three flood-related displacement incidents between 21 September and 4 October 2024, displacing approximately 5,930 individuals, representing 1,186 households.
