International migration provides humanitarian aid to more than a thousand families in Sinnar

18 May 2024 (PEN) The International Organization for Migration announced the continuation of food distribution operations across Sudan, with the aim of assisting people affected by the conflict. Thanks to the funding it received from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the organization was able to reach more than 1,000 families in Sennar State affected by the conflict, including vulnerable migrants and internally displaced people.

The organization stressed that needs are still increasing as the conflict continues in Sudan, and that it must ensure that no one is left behind.

This statement comes in light of the continuing humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where millions of people face difficulties in obtaining food and shelter as a result of the ongoing conflict.
