International Migration distributes food baskets to refugees and displaced people in Port Sudan

May 12, 2024 (PEN) The International Organization for Migration expressed its deep thanks to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its generous and continued support, which allowed the organization to distribute food baskets to more than 3,000 migrants, refugees and displaced people in Port Sudan.

The organization confirmed that this ongoing distribution comes within the framework of its efforts to help the most needy people, as it aims to reach 20,000 people in need in the region.

The organization noted the worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan, stressing that providing more funding is crucial to continuing its efforts to meet the needs of migrants, refugees and displaced people in the country.
