The World Food Program receives a Ukrainian wheat shipment to support those in need in Sudan

17 April 2024 (PEN) The World Food Program in Sudan received the second Ukrainian ship carrying approximately 14,000 metric tons of wheat. This shipment comes as part of ongoing efforts to provide food aid to those in need in the country.

Thanks to this vital contribution, WFP will be able to support two million people for one month, strengthening its efforts to provide food security to the most vulnerable groups in Sudan.

The World Food Program expressed its thanks and appreciation for the support of the donors who contributed to this shipment, which is part of international cooperation to confront food challenges in Sudan.
