The Sudanese Red Crescent Society distributes food aid in Darfur

June 26, 2024 (PEN) The Sudanese Red Crescent Society announced that it has received support from UNICEF for the Central Darfur branch, receiving two trucks carrying 1,999 cartons of RUTF nutrition biscuits. This support targets six localities, including Zalingei, Azum, Mukjar, Bindsi, Umm Dukhun, and Wadi Saleh. These supplies will be distributed to nutrition centers through organizations working in those localities.

In a related context, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, East Darfur State Branch, in cooperation with the World Food Programme, distributed food items including rice, legumes, oil, salt, and therapeutic biscuits. This aid targeted 21,467 displaced people in Al-Nim camps.
