Qatari support for Sudan: An MRI device arrives in Port Sudan, funded by the Arab Bank

June 2, 2024 (PEN) The Federal Ministry of Health said that it received an MRI machine this morning at Port Sudan Airport, funded by the Arab Bank. This came in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sudan, Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sada, and the Chairman of the Logistics Health Committee, Dr. Khalil Muhammad Ibrahim, Director of Development and Projects Department, Engineer Abdul Rahim Ahmed, and Director of the Blood Bank, Dr. Essam El-Din Hassan.

The Ministry stated in a press statement through its authorized representative, Dr. Ismat Mustafa said that receiving the MRI machine today is one of many devices that will come in the future. He added that arrangements to provide this device began before the war, and that it is designated for the Nile River State, noting that it will reduce the burden on citizens. Dr. added. Esmat said that the role of the Qatari government and its ambassador was pivotal in delivering the device to Sudan, expressing his thanks to the Arab Bank for providing this important device.
