Muslim World League welcomes efforts of "Allied to Save Lives and Achieve Peace in Sudan"

August 24, 2024 (PEN) The Muslim World League welcomed the efforts made by the group “Allied to Save Lives and Achieve Peace in Sudan,” appreciating the role played by this group in alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people, saving lives, and achieving a permanent cessation of hostilities.

The Secretary-General of the League and President of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, expressed his full support and great appreciation for the group consisting of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, the Swiss Confederation, the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the African Union, and the United Nations, which operates under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and through the Jeddah Declaration.

The Association appreciated the group's commitment to continue working to deliver humanitarian aid and protect civilians, in addition to initiatives to cease fire and end the war in Sudan.
