A leader in the Sudanese Congress strongly condemns a video showing the liquidation of prisoners from the army and warns of the consequences of continuing the war

May 8, 2024 (PEN) The leader of the Sudanese Congress Party and member of the “Taqaddum” coordination, Khaled Omar Youssef, said that the circulating video showing members of the Rapid Support liquidating prisoners from the armed forces represents a heinous act and must be condemned in the strongest terms.

Youssef added that this war reveals its ugliness every day, which further tears the nation apart and multiplies its wounds, which will never heal if this fighting continues.
He stressed the need to stop the war immediately and hold accountable everyone who contributes to its continuation, whether in word or deed.

It is noteworthy that the ongoing conflict in Sudan since mid-April between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces has led to a catastrophic deterioration in the humanitarian situation that threatens to push the country into a stage of famine unless the matter is remedied.
