Lamamra meets with the Eritrean President and discusses with him the peacemaking process in Sudan

April 25, 2024 (PEN) Ramtane Lamamra, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Sudan, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for meeting with the Eritrean President, Isaias Afwerki, in his office today.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on peacemaking in Sudan, and Afwerki affirmed his strong support for the efforts of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the role of his personal envoy in achieving stability and peace in the region.
