A UN commissioner calls for peace in Sudan and support for countries hosting refugees

Grande stressed that the only solution to this crisis is to achieve peace, calling for the necessary support to be provided to countries receiving refugees, warning of continued deterioration if this support is not provided effectively.

More than two million people have been displaced to neighboring countries since the outbreak of the conflict in mid-April last year as a result of the catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian and security conditions.
