Journalist Manal Bastawi and her child were killed as a result of Dana falling on a passenger bus in Omdurman

May 22, 2024 (PEN) With great sadness and sorrow, the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourned for all male and female journalists, journalist Manal Bastawi, who was killed along with her child after Dana fell on a passenger bus in the city of Omdurman yesterday morning, Tuesday.

The union stated that the deceased worked in a number of newspapers, including “Al-Hadath,” “Society News,” and “Al-Adwaa.”

I offered my deepest condolences to the male and female journalists and male and female media workers, as well as to the deceased’s family, friends and acquaintances.
