United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs: about 68 humanitarian partners provide life-saving assistance and protection in all states of Sudan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that some 68 humanitarian partners are providing life-saving assistance and protection in all of Sudan's 18 states. This includes United Nations organizations, Sudanese and international NGOs, as well as the Red Crescent Society.

The office said the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) had delivered more than 2,500 tons of health, nutrition, water and sanitation supplies, including in areas where fighting continues. No less than 1.6 million children will benefit from this assistance. More than 600 tonnes of life-saving food aid has reached 11 states, enough for UNICEF and its partners to treat more than 45,000 children in the coming months.

He stated that since the start of the conflict, UNHCR has erected nearly 1,000 tents in White Nile, Kassala, Gedaref and North Darfur states.
