Save the Children Organization announces the displacement of 176,000 people from the Tawila area in North Darfur

October 4, 2023 (pen) Save the Children International said that since the outbreak of the conflict in April, about 176,000 people have been displaced from the Tawila area in North Darfur, to the Fanga area in Central Darfur.

The Save the Children organization carried out interventions through the emergency health care unit at the gathering points for displaced people, and also provided medical and nutritional assistance, in addition to health consultations and awareness sessions within the rapid response mechanism with support from the European Union.

It is noteworthy that due to the ongoing conflict in Darfur, thousands of citizens were displaced and many of them took refuge in neighboring countries.
