The Journalists Syndicate mourns journalist Makkawi Muhammad following the Rapid Support Forces attack on Wad Al Noura

June 6, 2024 (PEN) The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourned with great sadness and sadness the journalist Makkawi Muhammad Ahmed, who was martyred in an attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on the village of Wad Al-Noura in rural 24 Al-Qurashi, Al-Jazeera State.

The union said in its statement: “We strongly condemn the Rapid Support Forces’ continued attacks on safe villages, and we express our deep sadness at the martyrdom of our colleague Makkawi Muhammad Ahmed, who joined the caravan of martyred journalists who fell victims of this bloody war in Sudan.”

My colleague Makkawi was working for the Sudan News Agency, and because of the war he took refuge in the village of Wad Al-Noura, where he was sadly killed.

The union extended its condolences to the family and friends of colleague Makkawi, and expressed its condolences to his pure soul. Calling on all parties to the war and regional and international institutions to quickly put an end to this war.
