It is not easy to define neutrality, especially since it is linked to other concepts such as balance and objectivity. However, neutrality can be described as the lack of interference by journalists in directing the course of events, or the victory of one party at the expense of other parties without a clear and reasonable justification. That is, there are some exceptions that allow journalists not to be neutral, that is, to take sides with one party or the other, as it is difficult to ask journalists to be neutral in matters that affect human rights, for example, or to show neutrality regarding clear terrorist acts.
