Save the Children: Nearly 700,000 children in Sudan suffer from acute malnutrition

3 September 2023(PEN) Save the Children International said that nearly 700,000 children in Sudan are acutely malnourished and they are at high risk of death if they do not receive treatment.

In cooperation with the Sudan Humanitarian Fund, the organization provides psychosocial care to children who fled the fighting in Khartoum.

"At least 435 children have been reported killed in the conflict across Sudan, and at least 2,025 children have been injured, although these figures are an underestimate and the real toll is likely to be much higher," the organization said earlier.

Sudan has been experiencing a humanitarian crisis since April 15 due to the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
