The executive of Al-Damer locality inspects those affected by rain and floods in local areas

September 13, 2023 (SUNA) Mr. Othman Mohamed Othman, Executive Director of Al-Damer locality, reviewed the conditions of citizens affected by the floods and rains that hit large parts of the locality, through which he was accompanied by the Director of Civil Defense in the locality.

These torrents and rains caused a total and partial collapse of houses in a number of neighborhoods of the city of Damer and a number of deaths as a result of the collapse of houses, as the floods caused the cutting of the challenge road at the Wadi Al-Makabrab area, and the areas of Al-Baqir, Qbati and Al-Aliab were also affected by the Nile Administrative Unit as a result of the floods and caused significant losses among the property of citizens.

The neighborhoods of New Hilla, Al-Shajara neighborhood, Al-Farouq and squares 14-13-7 are the most affected neighborhoods of the city of Al-Damer from heavy rains accompanied by winds, and the inventory is still underway by the Civil Defense Chamber in the locality to limit the losses of those rains.

The executive director of the locality described these heavy rains as unprecedented, stressing that his locality will play its full role towards providing urgent assistance to those affected by the floods and rains despite the conditions of war in the country.
