Hamdok calls on both sides of the conflict to stop the fighting and facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid

December 19, 2023 (pen) Dr. Abdullah Hamdok said in his speech on the fifth anniversary of the glorious December Revolution that it represents an important episode in the people’s struggle for freedom, peace and justice.

The former Prime Minister of Sudan called on the warring parties to immediately, permanently and unconditionally stop fighting and fulfill their responsibility in accordance with international humanitarian law to protect civilians and facilitate unhindered access to humanitarian aid.

Hamdok stressed the need for the people and their living forces to stand up and rally around the efforts of the civil forces to stop the war and restore the path of democratic transition in order to establish the democratic civil state and in order to achieve a state of citizenship and equal rights.
